APP MOCKUP

the concept

POEMO (Poetic Moments) aims to provide a fresh perspective on ancient Chinese poetry learning for those interested in Chinese culture. However, users are not required to learn everything. Users can browse the amount of content they prefer while always receiving proof that they spent time on a new poem.

Aside from the learning part, the prototype includes a section for users to share their results, including photos and recordings of their voices, so they know they are not alone.

The prototype also records learning history and includes a reward system that allows users to earn multiple titles based on how much they have accomplished. The titles are based on well-known Chinese phrases, and an imperial exam system existed in ancient China for approximately 1300 years.

Overall, the experience of this prototype is one of learning, producing unique results, sharing, communicating, and being rewarded.

MAIN FLOW

MAIN FLOW

The main flow is users can log in every day and answer 5 questions about their current state, after which the system will find the poem that is most similar to the users’ current state, and then show users the filters. The process emphasises the idea of uniqueness and personalisation.
CORE FEATURE

CORE FEATURE

The core feature is interactive Chinese-style AR filters which come before the poems, allowing users to form their own opinions about what the poem is about before the texts or translations affect how they interpret the poems.
